The most interesting game of round 6 was a derby match between two teams from Colombia. The game took place in Villavicencio where second ranked Paisas won against host Caimanes (0-4) 107-91. Puerto Rican-Nicaraguan Jared Ruiz (188-1992) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Eric Crawford (193, college: Maine-Augusta) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Sebastian Valencia (200-1997) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Colombian champion maintains second position with 2-2 record having just two points less than leader Sesi/Franca, which they share with Flamengo. Caimanes at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Obras and Univ.Concepcion. In the last two games of round 6 Astros destroyed Caimanes on the opponent's court 131-69. Minas outscored Aguada in a home game 94-62.

Astros dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Caimanes' 36. Astros forced 21 Caimanes turnovers and outrebounded them 45-24 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Caimanes' players. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan forward Michael Carrera (196-1993, college: S.Carolina, agency: BIG) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Rafael Rachel (205-2000) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Winicius Braga (204-2005) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Minas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Santiago Vidal (180-1989) who recorded 14 points and 5 assists and Argentinian-Uruguayan power forward Agustin Zuvich (201-1995) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively.
